It appears there’s a few problems with registering for Macworld this year. The Macworld registration has remained greatly unchanged for the past 4 years and this backend system isn’t perfect. There are ways to get the pass that’s right for you with limited issues. Alison over at the Macworld NING social network has posted a response to a previous thread regarding registration woes.
I emailed Macworld registration and they said that if you have already registered and would like to add a Macworld Blast! attendee party ticket, contact customer service at (800) 645-EXPO (within the U.S.) or (805) 677-4294 (outside the U.S.) and press “1″ OR via email at macworldexpo2008@rcsreg.com and they will help you sign up for the tickets.
I’m sure that IDG would like everyone to use the web based registration but if you’re confused, experience issues or want a real person to assure you that you just registered correctly then the phone or email registration may be a better option. Katie over at MacCore had so many registration issues that she ended up posting a twitter that said, “All those attempts to register for Macworld showed up as over $480 worth of charges for attempts Macworld said failed. I am NOT happy!”
Good luck to everyone with their last minute registrations for Macworld!
