I still hear people that think that they have to take a cab from San Francisco International to their hotels downtown. SFO is not close to downtown. It’s quite a drive and figuring out MUNI is not worth the headache. There are shuttle buses that take you to SF downtown hotels for a great price. Each year, I’ve only used Super Shuttle for transportation. It’s $16 dollars one way and you can even go to SuperShuttle.com and put in your flight’s arrival or departure time and pick the airport and purchase your tickets early! They take Visa in the van if you’re short on cash. SuperShuttle is fast, speedy and very affordable but the best thing about SuperShuttle is that they offer a $2 dollar discount for Macworld attendees. There’s a printable coupon that you can give to the driver.

Here is Macworld’s page with all of the info but I copied here as well. Unfortunately, it looks like the coupon is not available yet. Just check that page before you leave for Macworld and print two copies.

From Macworldexpo.com, “SuperShuttle is the leader in door to door airport ground transportation and is offering Macworld travelers a $2.00 discount for shared ride reservations or a $5.00 discount for their exclusive shuttle and ExecuCar service. SuperShuttle van service picks up from the Upper Level at San Francisco Airport and drops off passengers at hotels and residences throughout the Bay Area. From the San Francisco Airport to San Francisco hotels, prices start at $16.00 per transfer. For more information, please visithttp://www.SuperShuttle.com. Note: Prices are subject to change.
