At this year’s Macworld Expo, two films devoted to The Macintosh and it’s community of faithful users will be released. One of these will be showcased during Macworld Expo and anyone with an exhibit hall badge or greater is eligible to watch. The other is being screened in San Francisco at a small theatre. Having not sen either of these, I can’t tell you if they’re going to be good or not but I can say that any film created to showcase Apple as a company and the religious fanaticism of its user base is going to be very interesting and sell well to our growing community of Mac, iPod & iPhone users.

The first film is called “MacHEADS” and will be showcased during Macworld Expo and will be a free screening if you have a badge. It will be showing Wednesday January 7th in room 131 of the Moscone Center North Hall at 6:15PM. You can RSVP on Facebook. I was actually interviewed for this movie. Here’s the trailer.

The other film is called “Welcome to Macintosh” and takes a different approach. I don’t know much about this film but you can buy tickets here. The film will be showed on January 8th at 8PM at the Sundance Cinemas on Fillmore. It’s quite a ways away from Moscone Center so expect a $12+ cab ride if you don’t want to take a bus. Here’s the trailer:

Both are expected to be pretty good just for nostalgia’s sake. I personally know that the MacHEADS producers have worked tirelessly for 2 years now on their film and I can’t wait to see it on the big screen.
