After attending Expo 2009, I now understand the jokes people make about the case vendors. Don't misunderstand me - I think those vendors bring some value to the show floor, but there were so many iPod/iPhone case vendors this year it seemed to dilute the Mac in Macworld Expo. (Especially when most of those vendors didn't have any 1st Gen iPhone cases. My wife was not a happy camper until we found the right person at Incipio who knew their product line.) Losing iLounge? Meh. I think CES is a better venue for most of those those vendors anyway. We'll still see Griffin, Kensington, and iSkin at Macworld Expo 2010. The danger is if 1/2 of the case vendors leave, you still lose a sizable chunk of the vendors on the show floor and the associate revenue from selling floor space. I would rather see more booths of companies talking about their innovative software and hardware products anyway.
